Job Summary:

The Sales Representative is accountable for managing small sized accounts (or supporting Senior Sales Reps and/or Account Managers on larger accounts) in helping to deliver top line sales revenue and profitability for the Consumer & Commercial Solutions Division. Maximizes the availability of our products in the appropriate channels of distribution consistent with our brand strategy with an emphasis on superior new product execution. Utilizes leading edge data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits through price optimization for Newell Brands and our customers. Builds customer relationships at the buyer level and where appropriate, facilitates connectivity in other functional areas. Participates in on-the-job learning and training.


Market,Shopper, Channel, & Category Understanding:

Monitors the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand shopper trends and opportunities and communicating to Sales Manager

  • Utilizesbest in class insights to identify potential customer strategies as they relateto consumer purchase behavior and to maximize in-store and commercialopportunities

  • Appliesunderstanding of product portfolio, brand positioning, brand vision andstrategy to product sell-in and sell-through

  • Identifiescategory and conversion opportunities within customer offering

Customer& Category Strategy Development:

Delivers innovative win-win customer and channel strategies for their territory/account portfolio using understanding of customer, market, and competition

  • Deliversshare gains by building robust account / end user conversion & usageexpansion plans

  • Sharesmarketplace intelligence with our trade partners, where appropriate

  • Supportsthe delivery of the strategic priorities, positioning of key brands, andstrategic propositions that will grow our brands and delight our customers andshoppers

CustomerPlanning and Execution:

  • Executesmethods to assist our customers in effectively and creatively winning withconsumers, shoppers, end-users, and purchasers through promotions, packaging,merchandising, and leveraging Brands that Matter

  • Sellsthe strategy and plan to customers in an effort to grow business for thecustomer and Newell Brands and to achieve internal targets and goals whileaccelerating the growth of the customer faster than the competition with astrong focus on both sell-in and sell-through plans

  • Deliversconsumer strategies and plans (with channel, finance and supply chain whereapplicable) developed by brand management to achieve results in a profitablemanner for Newell Brand as well as our customers, and to measure program/plansuccess to agreed metrics


  • Bachelors/University degree in BusinessAdministration

  • 0-2 years sales/customerservice experience or NWL, peer company internship

  • Persuasive / Sales Ability / Negotiation Skills

  • Initiative & follow-through

  • Analytical skills and attention to details

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic andexceptional drive for results

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Local Travel via Personal Car
