Position Title Waddington Project Manager

Reports To: Director of Supply Chain

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for acting as an interface between Operations and other functions including Sales & Marketing, Finance, and some outside entities. Their purpose is to coordinate activities in a way to maintain the most efficient internal communication and primarily to facilitate new product introductions, costing of opportunities, and all details related to those introductions including entering information into our ERP and communicating with Customer Service and Finance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate new product development and productlaunch activities among Marketing, Creative Services, Finance, Operations,R&D and Engineering to ensure successful on-time launches. Thisincludes artwork approval, legal team input, and supplier coordination (inpartnership with Procurement). With R&D, help ensure successfultransition of design concepts to commercialization.

  • Develop and communicate costing analyses forcurrent and revised product offerings.

  • Ensure proper data setup in various systems(IFS, PDM), including part setup, product structure, routings and productload sheets; ensure FSE is kept up to date.

  • Audit, measure and report bill of materialaccuracy and routing accuracy.

  • Manage transformation office sourcing projectsin partnership with Procurement.

  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of allproducts produced at and purchased for the site, and use this knowledge toidentifying line extensions, cost reduction opportunities, packaging andmarketing ideas, and product / process improvements.

  • Work with outside agencies and suppliers asappropriate to stay current with marketplace trends, particularly with packaging.

  • Supervise any permanent and temporary siteemployees in this function.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvementactivities, including outside of project management. Ability to utilizeproblem solving tools such as A3, fishbone diagrams and process mapping.

  • Assist the Director of Supply Chain with Exceldevelopment, query and reporting tasks as needed.



  • At least two years direct or indirect projectmanagement experience, including costing, task management and working withsuppliers.

  • Superior negotiation, conflict resolution,problem solving and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers,as well as suppliers.

  • Advanced ERP and Excel skills. Experience withIFS is a plus.


  • Associate’s Degree inan appropriate discipline; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.


  • Specific Project Management coursework and/orcertification preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma green belt or higher is a plus.


  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills (includingVLOOKUP and pivot tables).

  • Familiarity with basic financial accounting.


  • Sitting at workstation approximately 60 percentof work time. Standing and walkingapproximately 40 percent of work time.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25 percent of worktime, including air travel.

  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally onweekends with short notice.

  • Typical office environment with shelvesoverhead and above work surfaces.
